About us
Music in Care
DaDOM, an Erasmus+ project, was designed to integrate music into caregiving practices, showing remarkable effects on well-being for residents and caregivers alike. Musical interactions improve sleep, encourage communication, and ease behavioral challenges—especially valuable in dementia care. For care staff, the confidence gained in using music fosters a more enjoyable and connected working environment, proving to be a powerful tool in daily care routines.
Empowering Tomorrow’s Care Professionals
Through a unique curriculum, DaDOM has equipped vocational students and teachers across Europe with practical, easy music-based care techniques. Our Erasmus+ project involved the creation of a tailored curriculum, hands-on teacher training, and a toolkit for care organizations, bridging the gap between vocational education and real-world care needs. DaDOM stands as a first step toward a future where musical care is a widely adopted practice, empowering a new generation of care workers to bring joy, calm, and connection into every interaction.
Through the DaDOM project, we’ve developed a specialized student curriculum,
provided essential training for VET teachers, and crafted a toolkit that enables care organizations to receive DaDOM students. These resources have supported care professionals and organizations across Europe in creating more inclusive, compassionate care environments that benefit both caregivers and those they support.
